ArmInfo. Armenia and Iran reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening relations and joining efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region. This became known following the visit of Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan to the Iranian Embassy in Armenia. The minister visited the Iranian diplomatic corps to express condolences to the people of Iran and the families of those affected by the terrorist attack in the Iranian city of Kerman.
During the meeting with the Ambassador and representatives of the Embassy, the importance of international cooperation in the context of combating terrorism and ensuring regional security was emphasized.
"My visit to the Iranian embassy was an important step to demonstrate Armenia's support for Iran during a difficult period, strengthening the friendship between the two countries," Vahan Kerobyan wrote on his Facebook page.
At least 84 people were killed and 284 injured after twin blasts near the burial site of slain military commander Qasem Soleimani. The first explosion was 700 meters away from Soleimani's grave, and the second was a kilometer (0.6 miles) away as pilgrims visited the site, according to IRNA.
