ArmInfo. The Armenian Church of St. Sarkis in Feodosia, built in the 14th century, where the ashes of the painter Ivan Aivazovsky rests, was damaged as a result of a missile attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the city's port.
According to Crimean media, the blast wave knocked out several stained glass windows in the temple, which are of cultural value and were made back in the 70s of the 19th century. They were carefully collected by parishioners for further restoration. Church representatives hope that restorers will be able to at least partially restore them. The stone part of the temple was generally not damaged, only the plaster crumbled in a few places.
