ArmInfo. The proteges of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan are trying to put an end to the solution to the Artsakh problem. Hayk Mamijanyan, head of the NA opposition "I have honor" faction, announced at the December 26 briefing.
According to him, in the context of the surrender of Artsakh to Azerbaijan, it is necessary to put dots and understand whose fault it is. According to sociological surveys, more than 25% of the country's citizens believe that Artsakh was surrendered due to the treacherous policy of the Armenian authorities. "Moreover, in this case we are not talking about citizens who think so, but who publicly declare this. In the context of arrests and sent to prison of people even for likes on social networks, this figure looks very respectable. "I don't know of another country in which every fourth resident considers the government to be traitors," the MP emphasized.
People close to Ilham Aliyev are in power in Armenia, who himself has repeatedly stated that when there was a danger of these forces coming to power in the Republic of Armenia, he organized another aggression against Armenia or Artsakh.
He recalled the fears of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev regarding the possibility of revanchist forces coming to power in Armenia.
Based on this, Mamijanyan considers Pashinyan an anti-Armenian figure. At the same time, he found it difficult to answer the question of whether the current head of the Cabinet is a pro-Russian or pro-Western figure. "One thing I can say for sure: Pashinyan is an anti-Armenian figure. You can clearly see this by looking at the map of the Republic of Armenia and the no longer existing Nagorno-Karabakh Republic," he said.
Commenting at the request of journalists on Yerevan's relations with Moscow, the MP recalled that back in the spring of this year, Speaker of the RA Parliament Alen Simonyan announced that the ruling team is the most pro-Russian government in the history of Armenia. Some time after, Simonyan entered into a verbal duel with Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova. Before this, there were contradictory actions and statements by Pashinyan, who, on the one hand, sent sappers to Syria as part of the Russian mission, and on the other, subjected the then CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov to criminal prosecution.
The oppositionist also stated that the protest movements of past years did not achieve their main goal, since there were a number of mistakes, some objective, some not. "I find it counterproductive to speak publicly about these mistakes because I am not in the habit of earning political dividends at the expense of my fellow fighters. This does not suit the RPA," he said, adding that over the past 5 years there has not been a single struggle that the RPA did not join. "But let's note that over all these years the RPA has not been an initiator, but a supporter. Now it seems it's our turn. The Republican Party cannot accommodate traitors and capitulators for one simple reason. We will not be able to look into the eyes of our friends, relatives, family members of participants in our struggle who are currently imprisoned as a result of this struggle - Ashotyan's sons, Malyan's children, Aslanyan's family members, all other friends who are political prisoners. Or how can we put up with it when every day on the street and on Facebook we see tragedies that hundreds of thousands of our compatriots experienced," the MP said.
Mamijanyan added that he does not specify the RPA's plans, since this would harm the effectiveness of these programs.
