ArmInfo. The"Together" alternative socio-political movement welcomes the news published on December 22 at the meeting of the President and officials of the Republic of Artsakh, according to which, guided by the provisions of the decree of the President of Artsakh Samvel Shahramanyan dated October 19, the President of Artsakh, the Minister of State, members of the government, judges, parliament and others officials continue their work on a voluntary basis, that is, the Resolution on the dissolution of the Republic of Artsakh no longer exists.
The statement of the Movement notes that since its creation, the "Together" movement, as well as the political parties and non-governmental organizations that are part of it, from the first days of the Artsakh movement, have been fighting for the realization of Artsakh's right to self-determination, over the legal and political model of creating a recognizable Republic of Artsakh and acceptable internationally.
"Today, in the dark days of the complete occupation of Artsakh and the departure of Armenians from their thousand-year-old homeland, it is more than important to make the right legal and political decision, not to deviate from the internationally recognized path of the struggle for self-determination and independence, and to ignore the threats of the enemy.
"Together" expresses solidarity with the authorities and the forcibly displaced population of the Republic of Artsakh. We state that the decision on Artsakh's self-determination and independence from Azerbaijan, and in the future reunification with Armenia, is the national task of all Armenians. Therefore, we must all together continue our coordinated activities on all Armenian and international political and legal platforms to ensure the return of Artsakh Armenians to their historical homeland and the assertion of the right to self- determination," the statement notes, adding that this is precisely the reason for the new presidential decree of the Republic of Artsakh, canceling the decision of September 28, 2023.
Earlier, Advisor to the President of the Artsakh Republic Vladimir Grigoryan said that the decree of Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan on the abolition of the Artsakh Republic is illegal and has no legal force. Let us add that the ruling force of Armenia, as well as the media and telegram channels affiliated with the government, reacted quite sharply to this statement by Grigoryan. He was accused of trying to torpedo the peace process between Baku and Yerevan.
