ArmInfo. No matter how much Azerbaijan declares at various international platforms that the Artsakh issue has been resolved or closed, it is obvious that it has concerns about these statements, Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the opposition faction With Honor, wrote on his Facebook account.
As an example, the parliamentarian cited one of the main propaganda channels of Azerbaijan, which prepared extensive material in which professors and experts from various countries tried to "analyze" the statements of the third President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on the issue of Artsakh.
"Azerbaijan is concerned about the demanding position on the Artsakh issue, which is seen as an opportunity for revenge. In this context, the Azerbaijani propaganda machine tried to interpret in its own way Sargsyan's congratulatory message addressed to the newly elected Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk, under which, according to the Azerbaijanis, a threat is hidden," Abrahamyan noted.
As Abrahamyan emphasized, no matter how much Azerbaijan declares at various international platforms that the Artsakh issue has been resolved or closed, it is obvious that it has concerns about these statements.
"Yes, today Azerbaijan has an ideological partner, a like-minded person in the person of the Armenian government, but this is only a temporary window for Baku, which the latter is trying to make the most of," the deputy believes.
On December 12, the third President of the Republic of Armenia, Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to Donald Tusk on the occasion of his election as Prime Minister of Poland. The letter, in particular, points to the last letter of the third President of the Republic of Armenia dated October 17, 2020, in which he asks for public and non-public intervention by Tusk to save the Armenian people in Nagorno-Karabakh from extermination. <Unfortunately, the "great tragedy" I foresaw happened: in the 21st century, in front of the eyes of civilized humanity, the Armenian people in Artsakh were subjected to ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijan, which turned Armenophobia into state policy. None of the one hundred and fifty thousand Armenians remained in their homes. But the problem, in our opinion, has not been solved - it simply cannot be solved like that, and the page of Armenian Artsakh is not closed," Sargsyan's message said.
