ArmInfo. Armenia's FM Ararat Mirzoyan and President and CEO of the International Crisis Group Comfort Ero exchanged views on regional security.
At the meeting, Mirzoyan touched upon Armenia's approaches to establishing stability and lasting peace in the South Caucasus, regulating relations with neighbors, as well as the latest developments in the process of regulating relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He emphasized the fundamental principles underlying Armenia's position: mutual recognition of territorial integrity, ensuring the demarcation process based on the latest maps of the USSR, unblocking regional channels under sovereignty and jurisdiction, respecting the principles of equality and reciprocity.
The sides exchanged views on the situation created by Azerbaijan's ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh, including issues related to addressing the needs and rights of Artsakh's more than 100,000 forcibly displaced Armenian population, as well as the importance of engaging with international partners interested in the stability of the South Caucasus.
