ArmInfo. There are no agreed dates for the next meeting of the border delimitation commissions, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said at a briefing with journalists on December 15.
According to him, the process of delimitation and demarcation will take quite a long time, since "this is a rather complex process."
When asked if there is a clear understanding of what maps will be used to base the work within the commission, Grigoryan replied: "We accept maps from 1975 to 1990 as the source maps, these are the latest maps. But here I also want to clarify that we will work exclusively with topographic, professional maps, and we must also work exclusively with documents of legal significance".
The principle of the Commission's work, as Grigoryan explained, is the following: during meetings, each of the parties presents its map, or a fragment of a map, legal documents, and then an exchange of views begins around the presented documents.
As the head of the Armenian delimitation commission noted, the parties will have to agree on every section, every fragment of the border.
