ArmInfo. There is no agreement yet on a meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ani Badalyan informed, the RFE/RL's Armenian Service reports.
"If there is an agreement to meet, we make it public," she noted.
Yesterday, RA Ambassador at Large Edmon Marukyan announced that a meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, will take place in Washington in January 2024. "At the moment we do not have a final and agreed draft peace treaty ready for signing. We hope that at the upcoming meeting in January at the Foreign Ministry level, to which Azerbaijan also agreed, we will agree on its text," he said.
However, Aykhan Hajizada, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan said that there is no agreement on the place and date of the upcoming meeting of foreign ministers.
