ArmInfo. Azerbaijan's attempts to portray Armenia as an anti- Semitic country have not  worked. Israeli analyst and journalist Dor Shabashevitz said, who covers the rights of ethnic minorities and regional politics in Russia and Central Asia.

" Pleasantly surprised to see Armenia ranked in the safest category  in the new travel warnings map by Israel's National Security Council.  This matches my personal experience, but Azerbaijan has been working  hard to paint Armenia as antisemitic. Nice to know it didn't work  out," he wrote on X.

Previously, the National Security Council and the Ministry of Foreign  Affairs of Israel recommended that citizens of the country refrain  from traveling abroad due to the increasing frequency of anti-Semitic  incidents. Separately, Israeli authorities urged citizens to avoid  traveling to Arab countries, the Middle East, the North Caucasus and  countries surrounding Iran.

The list of safe European destinations includes: Moldova, the Baltic  countries - Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Poland, Czech  Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Armenia, Switzerland, Cyprus, Croatia,  Serbia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Finland, Norway and Denmark.

In November an unknown person tried to stage a provocation near the  synagogue building in Yerevan. In particular, he tried to set fire to  the building. According to the investigative body, the person who  attempted to set the synagogue building on fire is a foreigner who  arrived in Armenia via air borders and left the country the same day  after the provocation.
