ArmInfo.Armenia's authorities are not doing anything to have Ruben Vardanyan and the other former  leaders of Nagorno-Karabakh released, Levon Zurabyan, Vice- Chairman of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) stated at a press conference on December 2. 

Pashinyan and Aliyev work in the same team and do the same thing.  Under this government, I cannot imagine the return of Ruben Vardanyan  and the rest of the former leaders of Nagorno-Karabakh who are in  Azerbaijani captivity," Zurabyan said.

The deputy chairman of the ANC emphasized that on certain issues he  does not share the point of view. At the same time, he condemns those  who are not overjoyed at the capture of the former leadership of NK  by Azerbaijan. "Delight from this can only mean one thing - you are  an agent of Azerbaijani intelligence, there is simply no other way,"  he said. 

According to Zurabyan, the Baku leader, through his actions, clearly  demonstrates his reluctance to make peace with Armenia. He does  everything to humiliate the Armenian people. "We must consolidate and  demand their release at the state level. Why doesn't the prime  minister consistently achieve this and demand it on all kinds of  platforms? This says they are doing the same thing. Pashinyan arrests  his political rivals in Armenia, and Aliyev does his part. "Very  simple cooperation," said a representative of the party of the first  president of Armenia.

Under arrest in Azerbaijan are the former Minister of State of  Artsakh Ruben Vardanyan, ex-presidents of the Republic Bako Sahakyan  and Arkady Ghukasyan, ex-speaker of parliament David Ishkhanyan,  former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ex-assistant to  the President of the NKR David Babayan, former deputy commander of  the Artsakh Defense Army David Manukyan. Among those arrested are  also ex-President Arayik Harutyunyan and former commander of the  Defense Army Levon Mnatsakanyan.
