ArmInfo. The "We Are Our Mountains" agency is launching the "Help to Artsakh Craftsmen" project with the goal of helping craftsmen forcibly evicted from Artsakh and settled in Armenia and those who want to learn a new craft in matters of work and employment.
According to the agency's press service, the project consists of two components: the first is the organization of training and retraining for those wishing to specialize in a new craft or improve their skills in an already mastered profession; the second is helping craftsmen acquire the tools necessary for their work.
"For our compatriots forcibly evicted from Artsakh, one of the most urgent and vital problems is the problem of employment. Many cannot work because they left their tools and equipment in Artsakh. This project is aimed at smoothing out this problem to some extent. The co-founder of our agency, Ruben Vardanyan, values the work of masters extremely highly, and last year it was with this initiative that he implemented the "Master of Armenia" project. Encouraging masters and those who want to achieve mastery in their profession is also an important area for us," says Armen Mangasaryan, social programmes executive.
The application acceptance process began on November 28. Applications will be accepted until December 5th. The results of studying applications will become the basis for choosing areas of vocational training and organizing assistance to masters.
