ArmInfo. Based on bilateral agreements with the CSTO member countries, a unified air defense system has been created, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu stated on the air of the "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" program on "Russia 1", answering a question about the CSTO air defense system.
"In fact, it was created, created at the bilateral level. We have an agreement, air defense systems with each of the states. This is with Armenia, with Kazakhstan, with Kyrgyzstan, with Tajikistan, and naturally with Belarus," Shoigu said.
According to him, the system is naturally equipped and working, exercises are carried out periodically, and its combat condition is maintained.
Shoigu said that "if documentation is required, we think (we will) document it."
"But we have a bilateral agreement with each of the CSTO member countries. And therefore a system has been created for a bilateral agreement," the Russian Defense Minister emphasized.
Earlier in Minsk, Shoigu said that Russia continues to do everything to strengthen and strengthen joint air defense systems with CSTO member countries, including taking into account the experience of the special operation.
