ArmInfo.There is no longer a "fifth column" in the army, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan assured on November 24 during a live broadcast, answering a question.
Pashinyan explained that by "fifth column" Pashinyan means people whose actions and perceptions place the priorities of other countries above the priorities of their own state.
"Today I can say that we have cleared the ranks of the Armed Forces of the "fifth column" that no longer exists. This also applies to the state apparatus as a whole. I am convinced that there is no "deep state" in Armenia," Pashinyan stressed.
For the most part, the public administration system has recorded significant progress in terms of government officials' perception of the ideas of statehood as the highest value, the prime minister is convinced.
On March 14, 2023, Pashinyan said at a press conference that the reason for the defeat in the 44-day war was the "fifth column." "We were defeated in the war because a fifth column acted in our army. This is my conviction as a result of analyzing a number of facts," the prime minister said
