ArmInfo.Russia continues to take steps to assist Armenia and the Karabakh Armenians. Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated on November 22 during a briefing.
"This morning a plane with previously announced humanitarian aid from the Russian government took off for Yerevan. The 40-ton cargo was tailored to the needs of the Armenian side, including food and warm clothing. Considering that there have been speculations on this matter, I will still be more specific. We are talking about blankets, a mobile power station. We expect that all this will be useful, as it has been considered in accordance with the needs of the Armenian side," she noted.
She also said that on November 13, the process of distributing humanitarian aid began on behalf of the Doctor Lisa charity foundation. "These are household electrical appliances, warm clothes. We welcome the efforts of the Armenian Diaspora in Russia; financial assistance has been provided by many regional branches of the Union of Armenians," she added, noting that over 100 tons cargo from the Armenian community were sent to Armenia.
The cargo has already arrived in Yerevan and was received by Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin.
