ArmInfo. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry offers Armenia to meet at the border to discuss the peace process.
"Both countries are responsible for continuing the peace process, including choosing a mutually acceptable location or deciding to hold a meeting on the state border. We urge the Armenian side not to allow further unnecessary delays and hope that they will respond positively to this call in order to begin negotiations as soon as possible," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry noted that it took Armenia about two and a half months to respond to Azerbaijan's proposals on the draft peace treaty, which allegedly seriously delayed the process.
"This stagnation in peace negotiations does not contribute to stability and prosperity in the region.
Azerbaijan is ready for direct negotiations with Armenia on a bilateral basis for the speedy completion of the peace treaty. We believe that both countries should jointly decide on their future relations," the statement said.
Let us note that today the Armenian Foreign Ministry announced that they had sent Azerbaijan the sixth package of proposals for a peace treaty. -sh-
