Armenian Ombudsperson briefs Swiss Ambassador on violated rights of  Artsakh people

ArmInfo. Human Rights Defender of Armenia Anahit Manasyan, at a meeting with Swiss  Ambassador to our country Lukas Rosenkranz, presented the Ambassador  with a number of issues related to the protection of the rights of  persons forcibly displaced from Nagorno- Karabakh, and touched upon  existing problems and needs.

According to the press service of the Human Rights Commission of the  Republic of Armenia, the Defender also spoke about the collection of  facts carried out by her office and the preparation of an  extraordinary preliminary report, which summarizes the information  about deaths, tortures, disfigurement on the bodies , mutilations and  other cases prohibited by international law among the civilian  population resulted from Anahit Manasyan emphasized that protecting  the rights of people forcibly resettled from Nagorno- Karabakh is one  of the priorities of her work.

It is noted that the collection of facts is currently ongoing and its  final results will be summarized and presented to relevant domestic  bodies and international actors.
