ArmInfo.According to the results of a survey conducted by MPG, the number of supporters of European integration is growing in Armenia.
According to sociologists, the majority of respondents (40%) believe that Armenia should maintain equal relations with all centers of power, while 17% believe that the European course will be the most correct, 14% indicate the need to strengthen ties with Russia, 13% - from the USA.
Last November also, the majority (44.5%) supported equal relations. However, at that time only 9% of respondents were in favor of strengthening ties with the EU, but the number of supporters of maintaining the right course towards Russia was slightly higher - 17.4%. A year earlier, 15.5% were in favor of developing relations with the United States.
At the same time, respondents most expect to receive military assistance from France (41%), 14.4% expect military assistance from Russia, 18.7% from Iran, 21.3% from India, and 1.8% from China.
At the beginning of the year, the lion's share of respondents believed that Armenia could receive military assistance from Iran (40.1%), followed by France (34.2%), Russia (30%), India (25.6%), China (5.1%). Survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of Yerevan and regions from November 1 to November 4, 2023, the sample size was 1,100 people, the sampling error was +/- 3%.
