ArmInfo. All Armenia's partners who are interested in establishing peace and stability in the region can assist in intensifying the peace process. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan told reporters on November 8.
He noted that one of the directions for achieving peace could be the "Crossroads of the Peace" initiative proposed by Yerevan, which contains Armenia's vision of unblocking transport communications in the region. This initiative is being raised and discussed with all international partners.
The diplomat also touched upon the issue of Armenian POWs and other persons of Armenian nationality held by Azerbaijan. According to him, Yerevan is making every effort to return them. "In particular, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is raising the issue of the illegal detention of our compatriots by Azerbaijan on all international platforms," Kostanyan said, adding that legal processes have been launched in the European Court of Human Rights and the International Court of Justice. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is using all resources for the speedy return of all detainees, including former Karabakh officials," Kostanyan emphasized.
