ArmInfo. A special unit for ensuring the security of international communication lines has been formed, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a Cabinet meeting on November 2.
According to him, the new structure will deal with the protection of gas pipelines, railways, cables, power lines, as well as the safe transportation of goods and people through these communications. Some work has already been done in this direction. "Today we can say that the unit has already been formed, it is staffed and has begun fulfilling its duties since yesterday," the Prime Minister noted, adding that the new structure was created within the framework of the "Crossroads of the World" initiative, which was recently announced in Tbilisi.
On October 26, speaking in the capital of Georgia, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said that the government of the republic has developed and presents the "Crossroads of the World" project as an important part of the peace agenda. The key meaning of this project is the development of communications between Armenia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran through the repair, construction and operation of roads, railways, pipelines, cables, power lines. >, said the head of the Armenian government.
