ArmInfo. Georgia is ready to contribute to achieving sustainable peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili announced on October 26 at the opening ceremony of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum.
"Our government has put forward the "Peaceful Neighborhood Initiative". We are ready to work with our neighbors and friends, Armenia and Azerbaijan, to finally establish long-term peace in the South Caucasus," Garibashvili said.
The Georgian prime minister also welcomed the participation of the prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan Nikol Pashinyan and Ali Asadov in the forum.
Garibashvili has repeatedly proposed Tbilisi as a platform for negotiations on normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
