ArmInfo. Deputy Minister of Health of Armenia Artak Jumayan received Thierry Kovacs, Vice Governor of the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
Speaking about France's constant assistance to Armenia, the work done in the current situation, and the prospects for implementing development programs in the field in the future, the Deputy Minister introduced the guest to the situation with the health care of Artsakh citizens as a result of the forced resettlement from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia. At the same time, he spoke about the process of registering compatriots in primary health care, about issues related to providing the latter with medicines, free medical care, including hospital care. Jumayan noted that at the moment there are already 45 thousand registered patients from Artsakh, and this process continues.
In turn, Thierry Kovacs noted that it is necessary to use all opportunities to expand health programs in order to achieve great results, strengthening bilateral cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the French side expressed its readiness to provide full support to the medical centers of the Syunik region and contribute to the development of the industry through interaction.
