ArmInfo. The person leading Armenia now is not at all concerned over the fate of the Artsakh people, the prisoners suffering in Baku prisons, depopulated Artsakh, Avetik Ishkhanyan, Chairman of the Helsinki Committee of Armenia, wrote as he commented Armenian Premier Nikol Pashinyan's speech in Strasbourg.
He admitted that he once again forced himself to listen to some fragments of the speech of the Prime Minister of Armenia in the European Parliament.
"First, about the most important thing. He went to Strasbourg with his three daughters. When he said in 2018 that the Armenian people are his family, in the true sense of the word, he meant his family. In other words, the state budget of Armenia is this is entirely his family budget, the security of the Armenian people is the security of his family, the happiness of his family members, etc.
The Armenian people should be deprived of their homeland, subjected to genocide, suffering, for the sake of the happiness of their family. And in these tragic days for the Armenian people, he and his three daughters with happy smiles on their faces travel abroad at the expense of the state budget and enjoy life," the human rights activist stated.
Regarding the speech itself, Ishkhanyan expressed the conviction that Pashinyan is absolutely not concerned about the fate of the Artsakh people and the de-Armenized Artsakh. "Ignoring all this, he once again begs Azerbaijan for peace, promising to give up other Armenian territories. And it's simply funny when "humane, democratic" members of the European Parliament give a standing ovation to a dictator who mutters "democracy" in every second word of his speech.
In fact, these European MPs do not care about democracy and the suffering of Armenia, Artsakh and the Armenian people. They are disgusted and at the same time applaud Pashinyan as their corrupt puppet," Ishkhanyan concluded.
It should be noted that the prime minister, during his speech in Strasbourg, said that if the principles stipulated in the Granada statement are confirmed, the signing of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan by the end of the year will become realistic. He declared his readiness to delimitate the border with Azerbaijan on the basis of the latest maps of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, and again proposed a mirror withdrawal of troops from the border.
