ArmInfo.On October 10, RA Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan met with the heads of delegations of the Full Scale International Field Exercise implemented within the framework of the "Comprehensive management of earthquakes in vulnerable areas of the South Caucasus through effective planning, response and joint operations" (HOPE FSX 2023) program.
As the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reported, welcoming those present, Vahe Ghazaryan noted that the exercise, in which more than three hundred rescuers from seven countries took part, is an important event for the development of Armenia's capabilities in the fight against natural and man-made disasters. The Minister highly appreciated the work of the partner countries in organizing the exercise and expressed special gratitude to the European Commission's Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO), population protection organizations and government departments of Georgia, France, Montenegro, Cyprus, Greece, and also to the program management team.
Vahe Ghazaryan emphasized that daily preparation and high discipline are among the most important factors in rescue work, thanks to which the most effective operations can be achieved, with the idea of saving human lives at the forefront.
The Minister wished the participants of the exercises effective work and expressed hope that cooperation in the field of protecting the population will be constant and complementary.
