Armenian side suffers losses as a result of enemy`s provocation - RA  MoD

ArmInfo.There are casualties on the Armenian side in the wake of the fire by the Azerbaijani armed  forces, the RA Ministry of Defense reports.

"There are casualties on the Armenian side in the wake of the fire by  the Azerbaijani armed forces on a vehicle carrying food for the  personnel conducting duties at the Armenian combat positions. The  Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia will provide  information later.  As of 4 p.m., the situation on the frontier is  relatively stable," the department notes.  

According to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, "On October 2, as a  result of Azerbaijani AF fire on the vehicle of the RA Armed Forces  transporting provisions for personnel on duty at Armenian combat  positions, there are 1 casualty and 2 wounded on the Armenian side.   Azerbaijani AF units tried to target the ambulance as well, which is  a gross violation of international humanitarian law.  Aram Tigran  Kocharyan is the deceased serviceman of the N military unit of the  MoD.  The lives of the wounded servicemen are not in danger. They  were taken to a military hospital.," the Armenian Ministry of Defense  reports.

The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia shares the pain of  loss and expresses condolences to the family members, relatives, and  colleagues of the serviceman.
