ArmInfo. American actor and film director Mel Gibson condemned the genocide against the  Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh committed by Azerbaijan. The corresponding video message from Mel Gibson was distributed on his X-page (Twitter) by the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA)

The actor criticized the silence of the Western media and called on  the international community to immediately take effective measures to  protect the Armenians of Artsakh.

"History tragically repeats itself as we witness a modern-day  genocide unfolding." said Mel Gibson. He stated that the  Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem was committing atrocities against  Armenians - starvation, forced deportation, murder. "The Armenian  people, who have suffered for centuries because of their faith, are  once again faced with a harsh campaign launched to carry out ethnic  cleansing," the actor said.

He called on the international community to take immediate measures  to provide the assistance Armenians desperately need. <It is  necessary to create a humanitarian corridor for their safe movement.  To the Armenian people who still suffer, I say: "Don't lose heart,  God is with you," Gibson emphasized.
