People fleeing Nagorno-Karabakh because attacked by Azerbaijani  military - Edmon Marukyan  

ArmInfo.Ambassador Edmon Marukyan posted the following message on his X (former Twitter) account: 

"In an interview to Deutsche Welle (DW), the assistant of the  President of Azerbaijan claims that people are leaving  Nagorno-Karabakh "in a free manner". I want to understand, is there  anyone in the world who believes this yet another fake narrative of  Azerbaijan?

1. People are leaving because they are attacked by the Azerbaijani  military.

2. People are leaving because their cities and villages are occupied  by the armed forces of Azerbaijan.

3. People are leaving because neither the international community nor  Azerbaijan guarantee their rights and security.

4. People are leaving because for 10 months Azerbaijan kept 120,000  people, including 30,000 children, in a blockade and starvation as  part of its ethnic cleansing policy.

5. People are leaving because no one has been punished for the war  crimes of Azerbaijan in 2016-2020 and there is no guarantee that  beheaders are not roaming freely in those areas to behead new people.

I hope it's more than clear why people leave..."
