French president urges Azerbaijani counterpart to guarantee Karabakh  population`s security 

ArmInfo. French President Emmanuel Macron had a telephone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev and asked him to give security guarantees to Nagorno-Karabakh  Armenians, BFMTV.

The French President also condemned the decision of the Azerbaijani  authorities "to resort to force, risking aggravating the humanitarian  crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh and jeopardizing ongoing efforts to  achieve a just and lasting peace."

The day before, Macron also had a telephone conversation with  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.  The parties emphasized the  inadmissibility of the use of force and the need to use international  de- escalation mechanisms, the press service of the Armenian Cabinet  clarified.
