ArmInfo. The Hungarian airline Wizz Air was forced to change, cancel or reschedule flights to Yerevan and Baku due to the worsening situation in Nagorno- Karabakh. As the airline's press service reported in response to a TASS correspondent's request, this was done in the interests of the safety of passengers, as well as crews and aircraft.
"Wizz Air flight W6 4423, operating on September 19 from Sofia to Yerevan, was redirected to Kutaisi (Georgia), due to the escalation of the conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. Wizz Air flights to Yerevan and Baku and in the opposite direction were canceled yesterday or rescheduled for today. "Wizz Air is closely monitoring the situation and informing its passengers of any changes to the schedule. Wizz Air sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused, but the safety of our passengers, crew and aircraft remains our top priority," the Hungarian airline said.
