ArmInfo. Azerbaijan continues military operations, and the international community has so far been unable to  contain it, Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of Armenia's Security Council, stated in an interview with Armenia's Public TV. 

"As we have regularly warned in recent times, Azerbaijan is  attempting to orchestrate ethnic cleansing as well as genocide in  Nagorno-Karabakh. This is an attack not only on Nagorno-Karabakh, but  also on Armenia, because for obvious reasons the events taking place  in Nagorno-Karabakh have an impact on Armenia," Mr Grigoryan said. 

"To assess our resources, we need to answer the most important  question of recent times: is Russia leaving the region? In this  context, he questioned the words of the press secretary of the  Russian President Dmitry Peskov that Russia is not going to leave the  region. "Actions express intentions more clearly than words. In this  case we see action. Large-scale military operations have begun in  Nagorno-Karabakh, there is a danger of ethnic cleansing and genocide,  and if Russia wants to remain in the region, it must take certain  steps to prevent this. If this does not happen, steps are not taken,  then this question can be answered positively in the sense that  Russia wants to leave the region," he said. 

Answering the question that Russia is directly talking about the need  to resign the current government of Armenia and then it will do  something, Grigoryan noted that "Russia does not decide what the  government in Armenia should be." "When we came to power, we went  with Russia to Syria, voted for Russia in all international  institutions, did not leave the CSTO, did not leave the EAEU, but got  the same result - the war began in Nagorno-Karabakh, and then there  were aggressions against Armenia. If there is a desire to protect,  they protect, and if they don't want to, they can find a thousand  reasons," Mr Grigoryan said.
