ArmInfo.German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh must be stopped, and Armenia and Azerbaijan need to resolve their differences diplomatically. The head of the German government expressed this opinion to journalists in New York, where he is taking part in the high-level week of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, TASS reports.
"Armenia and Azerbaijan are now in a very critical situation. And for this reason, it is absolutely clear to us that this episode of the war must be stopped immediately," Scholz said. "We are talking about returning to the path of diplomacy and trying to find a peaceful, mutually agreed solution to all the problems that need to be overcome between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as within Azerbaijan itself," the German Chancellor emphasized.
