MP: Nikol Pashinyan must publicly renounce his intention to recognize  Artsakh as part of territory of Azerbaijan

ArmInfo. In connection with Azerbaijan's aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh, the Armenian  Foreign Ministry is taking all necessary measures. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan stated on September 19 at a meeting of the RA National Assembly Standing  Committee on Foreign Relations.

According to him, all Armenian ambassadors are involved in the work,  and separate meetings are taking place with diplomats accredited in  the country, who are presented with the situation. During meetings  and negotiations, the Armenian side raises the issue of immediate  cessation of aggression by Azerbaijan.  The deputy minister noted  that according to the report of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense,  the Russian peacekeeping forces deployed in Artsakh were notified in  advance about the so-called "anti-terrorist operation of a local  nature." "Today, the official representative of the Russian Foreign  Ministry stated that the Russian side was informed a few minutes  before the start of the aggression," the deputy minister said, adding  that an hour ago he met with Russian Ambassador Sergei Kopyrkin, who,  in turn, said that the Russian side did not was notified of military  actions by Baku.

Safaryan noted that all necessary steps are being taken to stop the  aggression from Baku. Yerevan also constantly raises the issue of the  rights and security of the people of Artsakh. The deputy minister  emphasized that Azerbaijan had resorted to another provocation.

In this regard, MP from the "Armenia" opposition faction Armen  Rustamyan noted that the policy of the Armenian authorities to  recognize Artsakh as part of the territory of Azerbaijan has led and  is leading to destruction. To change this situation, Rustamyan  believes, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan must publicly renounce  his intention this intention. Otherwise, he will not be able to  protect the rights and security of the people of Artsakh.
