ArmInfo. This week, the EU Mission to Armenia (EUMA) moved its headquarters to Yeghegnadzor (Vayots Dzor region of the Republic of Armenia). This is reported on the EUMA's X official page.
"According to the operational plan, EUMA's headquarters is based in Yeghegnadzor with operating bases in Jermuk, Goris, Kapan, Martuni, Ijevan and Yeghegnadzor and a liaison & support office in Yerevan.," the statement said. On January 23 this year, the EU Council has approved the new civilian mission of the European Union in Armenia (EUMA) within the framework of the Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP). The Mission's goal is to promote stability in Armenia's border areas, build trust on the ground and provide conditions conducive to EU-supported efforts to normalize relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the EU statement reads.
