ArmInfo. The MPG consulting company, which is the official representative of the International Gallup Association in Armenia, presented the final, closing survey on the eve of the elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan.
During a press conference on September 15, MPG LLC Director Aram Navasardyan presented the last survey, the results of which differ slightly from the previously conducted 2 surveys related to the election of the mayor (September 5-6) and (August 28-30).
According to the results, the majority of respondents (22.5%) are ready to support with their votes the ruling party "Civil Contract" (Tigran Avinyan), followed by the "National Progress" party (Hayk Marutyan) - 14.3% and the "Mother Armenia" party (Andranik) Tevanyan) - 7.8%.
The remaining votes respondents are ready to give for "Public Voice" - 6.7%, "Country to Live" - 5.7%, "Republic" - 5.2%, "Lusavor Hayastan" - 3.8%, "Victory" - 3.6%, "Fair Armenia" - 2.3%, "Uzh Hayrenyats" - 1.9%, "United Armenia" - 1.3%, European Party of Armenia and "Democratic Consolidation" - 1.1% each. At the same time, 9.9% of respondents found it difficult to answer, and 11.6% completely refused to talk about their preferences.
According to the survey results, 55% of respondents will definitely come to vote in the elections, 13.8% answered "most likely yes", 8.4% most likely no, 20.7% definitely no, 2.1% found it difficult to answer. To the question "is the mayor's position a political position for you or is it the governor/manager of Yerevan," 43.1% of respondents answered that this is a manager (compared to the April survey a decline in votes of 14%), 39.4% - are sure that this is a political position (an increase of 5% compared to April); 17.5% found it difficult to answer (versus 4.5% in April).
At the same time, only 32.7% of respondents became familiar with the election programs of political forces. Among them, the majority (42.7%) showed interest in the "Civil Contract", 14.5% - studied the party program of "Country to Live", 13.7% - "National Progress", 9.2% - "Republic", 7.6% - "Mother Armenia", 7.3% - "Public Voice", 4.2% each - "Lusavor Hayastan" and "European Party of Armenia", 3.8% - "For Social Justice", 3.4 % - " Uzh Hayrenyats ", 3.1% - "Fair Armenia", 3.1% - "Victory", 2.3% - United Armenia, 0.8% - "Democratic Consolidation". 19.5% stated that they got acquainted with all the programs, 12.6% found it difficult to answer.
The percentage of citizens participating in meetings organized by political forces remains low - only 7.7% of respondents. Of this number, 4.7% participated in the meetings of the "Civil Contract", 0.6% - "National Progress", 0.4% each- "Country to Live" and "Mother of Armenia", 0.1% each- "Public Voice" , , , . 1.4% found it difficult to answer.
The survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of Yerevan from September 12 to 13, 2023, the sample size was 802 people, the sampling error was +/- 3.5%.
