ArmInfo. Yerevan received Baku's new comments on the draft peace agreement, Armenia's Premier Nikol Pashinyan stated at a Cabinet meeting on September 14.
"We will work and submit our comments within a reasonable time," Pashinyan said. Peace in our region has no alternative, and only it guarantees the sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence and security of the countries of the region, which is a necessary and fundamental condition for natural development and progress.
"Today, including in this sense, it is important to overcome the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh, in the direction of which all possible measures will be taken," Mr Pashinyan said.
Pashinyan recalled that the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border remains tense. Baku continues to move troops on the state border with the Republic of Armenia and along the line of contact with Nagorno- Karabakh.
Meanwhile, the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is extremely difficult. "One truck of Russian humanitarian aid delivered to NK via Askeran cannot have a visible impact on the situation," he said and stressed that the humanitarian cargo sent by Armenia and France is still waiting for permission to enter Nagorno-Karabakh.
The international community continues to make calls for the illegal blockade to be lifted, and all possible diplomatic efforts are being made to ensure the entry of humanitarian cargo into Nagorno-Karabakh and ensure further supplies, he noted. "It is important to emphasize that representatives of Nagorno-Karabakh are fully involved in these negotiations and discussions. We must hope that a reliable international mechanism for the Baku-Stepanakert dialogue will be formed and we encourage our partners from Stepanakert to get involved in this dialogue," Armenia's premier said.
