ArmInfo.Moscow views Yerevan as an ally, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk told TASS on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
"Armenia is our ally. This is exactly our attitude towards Armenia," he said, answering a question about whether relations with Armenia through integration bodies have worsened.
"We held a council of the Eurasian Economic Commission on August 27. Everything was completely normal there," Overchuk added.
He added that the contacts between Russia and Armenia are expected within the framework of the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Council, which will be held on September 27.
In the near future we will have a council of the Eurasian Economic Commission. It will be September 27th. This is what is currently on the schedule," he said, answering the question about whether any contacts between the Russian Federation and Armenia are expected.
The last time the parties contacted through integration structures was during the previous EEC Council on August 27, Overchuk indicated.
