ArmInfo. Armenia and Russia should remain for all countries in the post-Soviet space an example of how, with unconditional respect for sovereignty, it is possible to preserve good neighborly relations, the unique developments of the past, to separate the negative from the beautiful and build relations between peoples on this.
This was stated during the Armenian-Russian media forum by the General Director of Gazprom-Media Radio, Russian journalist, writer, public figure, pioneer of indoor FM radio broadcasting Yuri Kostin, speaking about the prospects and examples of creative cooperation between media companies of Armenia and Russia.
<People and nations do not need conflicts; only the marginalized and scoundrels benefit from them. We all know this very well. And the role of media companies in building historically established neighborly relations is not just a job, nor just a business, is our responsibility to future generations. Therefore, it does not matter at all who is in charge here - the new old Armenians or the old new Russians. It is important that we are together, despite all the problems that exist," he emphasized.
According to Kostin, Armenia and Russia have a basis for cooperation in the field of media, which lies not only in the professional level of both sides, but also in a common history, upbringing, and a common cultural space that has cemented the ties between our peoples for decades.
In this regard, the he noted that it is possible to consider media companies and information partners operating in both countries to hold exchange events. He noted that these could be festivals of Russian stars, and not chaotic visits of artists to Yerevan and other cities, and he also pointed to powerful projects related to classical music, days of Armenian popular culture in Moscow. <You can create entire art spaces. We can limit ourselves not only to musical projects, but also to culinary projects and art festivals," the journalist said.
According to Kostin, in order to attract the attention of the public it is necessary to use all the resources of new media, work very smartly and try to ensure the presence of a huge amount of positive information in the information field.
Due to the public's special sensitivity to general political information, he noted that barriers should be overcome from the very beginning. In particular, the journalist noted that if we talk about cooperation in entertainment media, we need to distance ourselves as much as possible from the current agenda of bilateral political relations.
Kostin, in this context, expressed regret in connection with the ruthless "military actions" on media platforms, which very quickly change the consciousness of young fragile minds. The head of Gazprom- Media Radio noted that today the media bear a great responsibility to how good neighborly Armenian- Russian relations will be, which, according to him, historically should live in peace, friendship and fraternal mutual assistance.
