Armenia`s National Assembly Vice Speaker : We wish our boys victory  in today`s important match

ArmInfo.. Today, on September 8, the leaders of Group D - the Football national teams of  Turkey and Armenia - will meet in the Euro 2024 qualification.

The football match will take place in Eskisehir at the New Eskisehir  stadium. The main referee of the meeting, Italian Daniele Orsato,  will blow the starting whistle at 22:45 Yerevan time. After four  rounds, the Turkish national team has 9 points, the Armenian national  team, after 3 rounds, has 6. The national teams of Wales (after three  matches) and Croatia (two matches) have 4 points each, and the  Latvian national team closes the standings in Group D with 3 points  after three matches.

As Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia  Hakob Arshakyan wrote on his Facebook page, if the Armenian team  wins, it will lead Group D. "We wish our team victory in such an  important game," the vice-speaker noted.

On the eve of the match, the Turkish Football Federation and the  administration of the city of Eskisehir decided not to allow people  with Azerbaijani flags to attend the match, which angered local  Azerbaijanis.  On this occasion, posts on Twitter with the hashtag  #Bayrag?maDokunmaTFF () are gaining momentum.  The Azerbaijani community of the city of Eskisehir issued a statement  saying that they were informed that it is prohibited to bring any  types of flags, including Azerbaijani ones, other accessories and  banners, except the Turkish flag, to the Turkey-Armenia match. It is  noted that the local Azerbaijani community will boycott the game and  will not go to the stadium.
