ArmInfo.Azerbaijan is pursuing a policy of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh. Ambassador of Armenia to Germany Viktor Yengibaryan stated yesterday during a meeting with Minister of State of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, Dr. Tobias Lindner.
According to the RA Embassy in Berlin, the head of the Armenian diplomatic mission pointed out the need to take urgent measures to resolve the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh, which is escalating hourly due to Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor. The ambassador stressed that due to the blockade, food and vital medicines are not supplied to Nagorno-Karabakh, as a result of which the situation is similar to a real humanitarian catastrophe. The Ambassador also touched upon the cases of abduction of residents of Nagorno-Karabakh by Azerbaijan. The diplomat also pointed to Azerbaijan's attacks on the border areas of Armenia. During the meeting, the interlocutors also agreed on bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Germany. They expressed satisfaction with the high dynamics of the development of the Armenian-German relations.
On the same day, Yengibaryan met with Parliamentary State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research Jens Brandenburg.
The interlocutors discussed issues of further development of cooperation between Armenia and Germany in the fields of education, science and research.
They also touched upon the cooperation between the universities of Armenia and Germany, the implementation of the "Academic City" project, the expansion of TUMO centers in Germany and the organization of the "German Science Day" in Armenia.
