RA Defense Minister briefs Iranian Ambassador on details of Azeri  provocation near Sotk

ArmInfo. September 1, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan  received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and  Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Mehdi  Sobhani.  

As the press service of the RA MoD reports, the meeting was  attended by the Defence Attach‚ of the Embassy of the Islamic  Republic of Iran to Armenia, Colonel Bahman Sadeghin.  A number of  topics of Armenian-Iranian cooperation, as well as regional security  issues were discussed.  The Ambassador was briefed on the details  about the Azerbaijani provocation near Sotk, on September 1.  

Yesterday, the armed forces of Azerbaijan launched a massive attack  on the advanced units of the Armenian Armed Forces using UAVs,  mortars and small arms. When repelling the attack, three Armenian  soldiers were killed, two were injured.
