During the meeting, Armenia's president noted that the friendship between the Armenian and Indian peoples has a long history. "After Armenia gained independence, we continued this tradition, established diplomatic relations with India and did everything to ensure that our relations develop dynamically. Last year, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, and now we continue to find new opportunities for further development and expansion of our relations, and in this sense, your visit is also of great importance>, the head of state said.
During the meeting, the directions and areas of further development of close cooperation between Armenia and India were discussed. The importance of realizing the huge potential for interaction in the field of high technologies, healthcare, agriculture, defense, etc. was emphasized. The possibility of implementing joint programs for the exchange of experience in the field of military education was also touched upon.
An exchange of views took place on common regional realities, in connection with which Vahagn Khachaturian stressed that Armenia is firm in its position on achieving a stable and lasting peace and is moving in this direction.
