ArmInfo.Azerbaijan, through the Russian peacekeepers, has promised to release three young people, Artsakh FM Sergey Ghazaryan told reporters.
As to whether the young people will be deported to Artsakh or to Armenia, Mr Ghazaryan said they will in any case be in a safer environment.
Ghazaryan stressed that the Azerbaijani side, having made an attempt to send a consignment of "humanitarian aid" along the Akna-Stepanakert road, went to another provocation. "Thus, they themselves recognized the existence of a humanitarian crisis, but such issues are not resolved in this way," the minister said, adding that almost all initiatives coming from various structures are discussed with the political actors of Artsakh, on the basis of which appropriate decisions are made.
Answering a question about Baku's proposal to open the Lachin corridor while opening the Akna- Stepanakert corridor, Ghazaryan recalled that there are many proposals, but none of them has become a reality. He noted that the Karabakh side is the most interested in negotiations with Azerbaijan. "We are ready to discuss the most difficult issues in order to find mutually acceptable solutions, but, as we see, the Azerbaijani side avoids this. With the help of Russian peacekeepers, we periodically send our proposals to Baku, to which we simply do not receive a response," the head of the Foreign Ministry of Artsakh said.
