Artsakh is preparing for the new academic year in the face of a shortage of stationery, food, hygiene items and transport, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Artsakh Norayr Mkrtchyan stated during a meeting convened on the occasion of the start of the new academic year.
During the meeting, the minister presented the results of discussions and preparatory work with representatives of the educational institutions of Artsakh, as well as the problems that arose as a result of the complete blockade of the state. "We have made every effort to prepare for the start of the educational process on September 1," he said.
In turn, State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan emphasized that everything possible must be done to avoid exposing children's health to additional risks in the current difficult conditions, while at the same time not neglecting the state's obligation to ensure the right to education.
