According to the source, the meeting began with the blessing and  support of the spiritual fathers of the Armenian Apostolic and  Russian Orthodox Churches.

According to Bordov, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is in a difficult  situation today, and it is only thanks to the strength and fortitude  inherent in the people of Artsakh that they can overcome the  challenges of these months with honor.

"Of course, we remember that it was not easy for our grandfathers and  fathers either, because the entire history of the holy land of  Karabakh is a struggle for freedom, life, the right to live in the  land of our ancestors," the head of the community said.

In this context, he touched upon the historical background of the  Armenian-Russian relations, the history of the Russian presence in  Artsakh. According to Bordov, over the centuries, Armenians and  Russians have been creating spiritual ties, which indicates the need  to build strong allied relations for the sake of both peoples,  countries and faith. "The people of Artsakh and the Russian faced a  difficult, actually crisis situation. Definitely, today we must be on  the same side of the barricades," the head of the Russian community  expressed his conviction.
