ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities refusal to allow Viktor Krivopuskov to enter Armenia is "not quite a good sign," Head of Rossotrudnichstvo Yevgeny Primakov stated.
"I can comment on this in the sense that this is not a very good sign. The sign is not very good, not in relation to the biography of our former colleague, who headed our cultural center even before I joined Rossotrudnichestvo, and not a very good sign, about this our Foreign Ministry has already made a statement regarding the policy of participation of the Armenian elites in relation to Russia," he said in response to a question by TASS.
At the same time, Primakov noted that this had no effect on the work of Rossotrudnichestvo in Armenia. According to him, the activity of the representative office in the republic is successful. "This has not affected the work of our agency in any way, we are working, courses are running there, students are being recruited to study in the Russian Federation, festivals and concerts are being held. Recently, a football tournament for children's teams in different cities of Armenia was very successful, the children were delighted. I consider our representative office in Armenia to be one of the most successful," the head of Rossotrudnichestvo concluded.
As Krivopuskov himself told TASS on August 24, the border service of the Yerevan Zvartnots airport refused to let him into the country. Armenian authorities do not comment on this incident. Earlier, Armenian border guards also refused to let Aram Gabrelyanov, CEO and President of News Media Publishing House, Konstantin Zatulin, First Deputy of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, and Margarita Simonyan, Editor-in-Chief of RT, enter the country.
