ArmInfo. Spontaneous demonstrations are held in Yerevan and Stepanakert in connection with the abduction of Artsakh citizens by Azerbaijanis at an illegal checkpoint in the Kashatagh (Lachin) corridor.
Thus, after reports of the kidnapping of three young people by enemy forces at the checkpoint, people began to gather in Renaissance Square in Stepanakert, demanding explanations from the country's authorities regarding what happened.
It is noteworthy that the rally was led by Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan's close associate Artur Osipyan. He is the organizer of all anti-Russian protests in the NKR for the last period. Osipyan was also the initiator of the closure of the entrance to the RPC deployment point in Ivanyan. Experts tend to consider it no coincidence that the spontaneous protest was led by Osipyan, who will try to "let off steam" and direct the rally in the right direction, preventing speeches against the current government in Artsakh. Arayik Harutyunyan met the protesters and said that tomorrow he would hold an extended meeting, at which the fate of Artsakh would be decided. However, under the pressure of the protesters, it was announced that the meeting of the NKR Security Council would be held today at 9:00 p.m. local time.
At the same time, a group of Artsakhians is holding a spontaneous rally in front of the Russian Embassy in Yerevan. Citizens demand that a representative of the embassy answer their regarding the kidnapping of three Armenian young people by Azerbaijanis in the Kashatagh corridor - in the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent. The demonstrators blocked the Grigor Lusavorich street. The young people traveled from Artsakh to Armenia, accompanied by Russian peacekeepers. However, according to the media, the Russian side did not take any action, to stop the kidnapping of the citizens of Artsakh.
