ArmInfo. At a Cabinet meeting on August 24, Armenia's Premier Nikol Pashinyan shared reports on the planned opening of the Lachin corridor one-way - for people's exit from Artsakh.
The humanitarian aid intended for Nagorno-Karabakh is still near the village of Kornidzor, Syunik province, while the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh remains critical.
The only "positive" trend is the transportation of patients from Artsakh to Armenia mediated by the Russian peacekeepers and ICRC.
"I would like to remind you that about 5,000 Naagorno-Karabakh residents have been in Armenia since last December, when Azerbaijan blocked the Lachin corridor, and 30,000 more because Point 7 of the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, has not been implemented. The point reads that internally displaced persons and refugees shall return to Nagorno-Karabakh and to the adjacent territories under the supervision of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees," Armenia's premier said.
Baku's not implementing the point in question is evidence of its goal, namely, deportation of the Nagorno- Karabakh population by means of ethnic cleansing, Mr Pashinyan said.
