ArmInfo."My whole team and Itook vacations during the election campaign of the Council of Elders of Yerevan," Deputy Mayor of the Armenian capital Tigran Avinyan, who heads the list of the ruling Civil Contract party in the elections to the Council of Elders of the city, told reporters on August 23.
According to Avinyan, 90% of all election campaign participants from the Civil Contract party are on the party's electoral list, and all of them are on vacation. Speaking about the unequal conditions of the struggle, in which the Deputy Mayor has the opportunity to present some results of his activities, which his competitors cannot do, Avinyan noted that the deputy mayor of the capital has certain obligations. Moreover, he can do his job both well and poorly. "If I had done my job poorly, these accusations simply would not have voiced, or rather, they would have been in a slightly different perspective," Avinyan emphasized.
Tthe elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan will be held on September 17. The voters of the capital of Armenia will have to elect 65 members of the Council of Elders, who, in turn, will elect the mayor of the city.
