ArmInfo.Co-Chair of the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations of France, member of the ARF Bureau, Murad Papazian, has been banned from entering Armenia for over a year on trumped-up charges. And this is not the first and only case. This is stated in the statement of the member of the ARF Bureau Hakob Ter-Khachaturian.
At the same time, the ARF member stated with regret that like Azerbaijan, Armenia also has a "black list" of those who defend Armenian interests.
"Disagreement with the policy of the authorities of the day, under no circumstances can be grounds for a ban on entry to the homeland. Such restrictions fundamentally violate the fundamental principles of law and democracy.
This injustice and discrimination is unacceptable. We will continue to seek by all possible legal means the restoration of the violated rights of our Armenian compatriots of the Diaspora," the statement of the representative of the ARF Bureau says.
It should be noted that today Murad Papazian is challenging the fact of the ban on his entry into Armenia in court.
