Artsakh MFA: Artsakh-Azerbaijan dialogue should take place within  agreed int`l format by appropriate mandate

ArmInfo. The dialogue between Artsakh and Azerbaijan should take place within an agreed  international format supported by an appropriate mandate. The  Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh commented on the media reports  regarding a possible meeting between representatives of Stepanakert  and Baku.

According to the Artsakh Foreign Ministry, such an approach will make  it possible to more actively involve the international community in  the negotiation process, strengthen its legitimacy and stability, and  also provide reliable guarantees for the implementation of potential  agreements between the parties.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that the authorities of the Republic of  Artsakh are always open to discussing reasonable proposals regarding  the organization of a dialogue between the representatives of Artsakh  and Azerbaijan. Moreover, Artsakh, for its part, periodically comes  up with initiatives and proposals to organize meetings between  representatives of Artsakh and Azerbaijan with the participation of  mediators.

"We are convinced that the success of the dialogue depends on the  genuine interest and good faith of both parties in settling their  differences. There is such an interest on our part. If the  Azerbaijani side also shows such readiness, then this will pave the  way for the start of a dialogue>, the statement says.
