ArmInfo. As we understand, individual countries and international bodies are working out various methods for resolving the humanitarian crisis around Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated on July 20 during a weekly briefing by official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, when asked whether the possibility of delivering humanitarian aid to Artsakh by air is being considered, taking into account the aggravating situation against the backdrop of a total blockade.
In order to clarify that what was said meant deliveries through Akna (Agdam), Zakharova noted that she did not specify this issue, she will clarify and inform if necessary.
When asked what efforts Moscow can still use to open the Kashatagh (Lachin) corridor, against the backdrop of the ongoing blockade and Azerbaijan's ignoring all the calls of the Russian Federation, Zakharova, in particular, said: "We are working with all parties not only in the public field, this is about methodology."
Since December 12, 2022, Artsakh has been under siege, and since June 15 of this year, in a total blockade by Azerbaijan. The 120,000 population of Artsakh is on the verge of starvation in the 21st century, against the backdrop of the complete indifference of the international community.
